Three Things Thursday: November 10, 2016

breakWelcome back to Three Things Thursday, a way to fill your blogs and social media with the happy!

I am still in the process of getting this blog moving, but I think (fingers crossed) this party should be getting started later this week…and that means daily posts about all sorts of nerdish fun for happy homes and happy lives. Until then, let’s all take a moment to savor those little things in life that make this planet a pretty blissful place to be. 🙂

Three Things Thursday is a simple concept that everyone is encouraged to play along with. All it requires is listing three (or more!) things that are making your life awesome. Please note! The three things you choose each week do not need to be big, huge, mighty, impressive things. In fact, I think it’s much better to focus on smaller, sillier things…because focusing on those little bits of joy and the gigglesnorts that they bring…well, that’s where day-to-day contentment lives, I believe.

So, how do you participate? Easy as falling off a log! Whip up a blog post about three things that are making you smile…then share it on the link up in this post. Don’t want to do a whole blog post? Feel free to post some pictures on Facebook or Instagram! If you tag me in your pictures, I 100% promise to give them appropriate love. ❤

Just one more thing! Three Things Thursday posts actually don’t need to be done on Thursdays! I leave the link up active for the whole week every week…so you can be grateful on your own schedule. 🙂

Okay, here we goooooo…

While we’re still waiting, waiting, waiting for Autumn to arrive (which it seems to be doing now…finally), it’s nice to have an extended season of outdoor seating at our favorite little café. 🙂

As we were leaving the trash dump on Tuesday, Grace and I had to stop and take a moment to appreciate the lovely way that the sun and clouds and harvested fields were playing together. I feel like there’s some sort of moral there in the whole “seeing something beautiful whilst leaving the dump” thing, but I haven’t quite figured it out yet. 😉

Our Autumn-blooming flowers are finally getting to it! 🙂

And now for a bonus! Earlier in the week, I made one of my frequent trips to the library and was delightfully surprised by Pokémon madness….just look at all of them!

And now, my blog friends old and new, it’s your turn! Click on that little graphic below to share your own three things that are bringing you joy (or leave your list in the comments). 🙂

And go ahead and grab a badge while you’re at it…because badges are awesome! 🙂

I think my three things will be on Friday – because it’s needed, but today I have lunch plans that get in the way.
Love your spreading smiles, and love your three things this week! The pokemon surprise has been awesome – it’s pretty cool to be seeing large spawn-rates again. Now, if I could only get a Pokestop close enough that I don’t have to actually go for a walk on the weekends to keep my streak up….

Yeah, my closest pokestop is a couple of miles away. During the week, it’s no problem because there’s a stop right in front of Grace’s school. On weekends, I sometimes have to find a “reason” to take a little jaunt. 😉 The spawn rate has been amazing, but I’ve heard that it’s temporary…which may be good because I find myself running out of supplies faster than I can catch all of the critters!

I look forward to seeing your three things this week! 😀

I miss seeing sunrises and sunsets. I miss seeing the stars at night. I live in the city and I don’t get to see any of these, unless I want to get up at o’dark-thirty in the morning and drive my chair down to the lakefront, hoping it’s not too cloudy for me to see the sunrise over Lake Michigan.
