Welcome back to Three Things Thursday, a way to fill your blogs and social media with the happy!
Three Things Thursday is a simple concept that everyone is encouraged to play along with. All it requires is listing three (or more!) things that are making your life awesome. Please note! The three things you choose each week do not need to be big, huge, mighty, impressive things. In fact, I think it’s much better to focus on smaller, sillier things…because focusing on those little bits of joy and the gigglesnorts that they bring…well, that’s where day-to-day contentment lives, I believe.
So, how do you participate? Easy as falling off a log! Whip up a blog post about three things that are making you smile…then share it on the link up in this post. Don’t want to do a whole blog post? Feel free to post some pictures on Facebook or Instagram! If you tag me in your pictures, I 100% promise to give them appropriate love. ❤
Just one more thing! Three Things Thursday posts actually don’t need to be done on Thursdays! I leave the link up active for the whole week every week…so you can be grateful on your own schedule. 🙂
Okay, here we goooooo…
This week (as usual), I’ve been quite enchanted with our little town. 🙂 Recently, Grace and I had the opportunity to volunteer with the local symphony as greeters for one of our quarterly jazz nights. We were pretty busy after the event got going, but here’s some of the warm up in action:
We had a fantastic time (and a great excuse to dress up a bit!), and we’re looking forward to doing it again. 😀
A pleasant surprise in mid-November? Some lovely blooms still blooming away in a tiny little park hidden away in the middle of town!
Our town rolls up the sidewalks pretty early in the evening, but I love how it looks at night. 🙂
Okay, we’re going to have another week of more than three things…because I can’t leave the local parade out of this post! Especially when it’s a picture of the float for the local youth ballet’s Nutcracker ensemble. (Which we’re totally going to see in a couple of weeks. We usually scoot into Charlotte to watch the Charlotte Ballet’s performance each year, but we decided to keep it local this year…I’m so excited to see this performance!)
And, since it’s Thanksgiving, I have so many plans over the next couple of days to be grateful for! Pies are already in the oven, and I have a whole day of cooking ahead of me…before the feasting begins. Of course, we’ll be pausing all of that cooking to go take care of the kitties at the shelter.(They need Thanksgiving feasts, too!) After dinner, we’ll cover our table with our gratitude lists…and that is my absolute favorite family tradition. And tomorrow? Oh, tomorrow is all about pajamas, leftovers, and the new episodes of Gilmore Girls! Squeeee!
(Since we won’t do a new gratitude table until tonight, here’s a picture from last year.) 😀
I am so, so grateful that my family has food for our bellies and a roof over our heads and love in our hearts…and I am ever so thankful for you, my blog friends! I hope you have a beautiful Thanksgiving. (And if you’re not in America, I hope you just have a beautiful Thursday.) 🙂
And now, my blog friends old and new, it’s your turn! Click on that little graphic below to share your own three things that are bringing you joy (or leave your list in the comments). 🙂
And go ahead and grab a badge while you’re at it…because badges are awesome! 🙂
What’s putting a smile on your face this week? Share your gigglesnorts! 😀 I would love, love, love to hear all about the awesome bits of life that are making you feel warm and fuzzy.
