Three Things Thursday: December 22, 2016

christmas-breakWelcome back to Three Things Thursday, a way to fill your blogs and social media with the happy!

Three Things Thursday is a simple concept that everyone is encouraged to play along with. All it requires is listing three (or more!) things that are making your life awesome. Please note! The three things you choose each week do not need to be big, huge, mighty, impressive things. In fact, I think it’s much better to focus on smaller, sillier things…because focusing on those little bits of joy and the gigglesnorts that they bring…well, that’s where day-to-day contentment lives, I believe.

So, how do you participate? Easy as falling off a log! Whip up a blog post about three things that are making you smile…then share it on the link up in this post. Don’t want to do a whole blog post? Feel free to post some pictures on Facebook or Instagram! If you tag me in your pictures, I 100% promise to give them appropriate love. ❤

Just one more thing! Three Things Thursday posts actually don’t need to be done on Thursdays! I leave the link up active for the whole week every week…so you can be grateful on your own schedule. 🙂

Okay, here we goooooo…

Yesterday, I had one of those days where a person could really, really benefit from focusing on the good and happy things in the world, so I’m ever-so-pleased to be sharing some happiness today. (I’ll let you know what made yesterday so icky in Saturday’s Weekend Coffee Share…I’ll also be sharing some big blog announcements for 2017.)

And since this is the last Three Things Thursday before Christmas, it seems appropriate to have a few bonus things, no? 🙂

I was the winner of a awesome giveaway on The Snail of Happiness blog! And what did I win??? These fantastic handmade ornaments…

But guess what?!? That fabulous Snail included a couple of treats that she knew I was itching to get my paws on…two handmade “hoglets!”

Squeeeeeeeeeee! 😀

It’s pretty common for me to share pictures from our favorite park for hiking, but they’re usually “bright blue sky” sorts of pictures. Well, we actually really enjoy hiking in all sorts of weather, and I think the lake is just beautiful when it’s all mist-covered and grey. 🙂

I am so in love with these superbly nerdy nail designs that the wonderful Eclectic Alli gifted me! (I’m totally digging that card, too. So pretty!)

Grace’s BFF, Adrian, was here with us for a few days (he and Grace are in different school districts with different break schedules, so Adrian was out of school already), and he got to participate in the “gathering of the gifts to take to school.” He felt like the package containing Grace’s science teacher’s flamingo slippers needed a little Bill Nye, so he sketched this on the back of the tag. 😀

I am so loving this hand-drawn card from the adorable family of My Open Sketchbook. I’m always amazed by Kay’s fabulous talent…and I adore that she included the kitties in the picture. 🙂

And I just couldn’t leave out this (slightly out of focus) picture of one of the floofbutts snuggling up with some crinkly plastic and some fuzzy friends. 😀

Now, my blog friends old and new, it’s your turn! Click on that little graphic below to share your own three things that are bringing you joy (or leave your list in the comments). 🙂

And go ahead and grab a badge while you’re at it…because badges are awesome! 🙂

What’s putting a smile on your face this week? Share your gigglesnorts! 😀 I would love, love, love to hear all about the awesome bits of life that are making you feel warm and fuzzy.

The hoglets (and the ornaments) have been very well behaved and low maintenance since they’ve been in my care. 🙂 The hoglets live on my desk and keep me company while I’m working on things…they’re quite helpful with brainstorming and organizing. 😉

Frank has no interest in anything other than the fluffiest softness under his delicate and precious parts (he is quite certain that he is royalty or the key to the universe or something)…but those kitties sure love to get their paws on anything crinkly and plastic! It’s a mystery…it seems to me that it would be rather uncomfortable.

I am so delighted for you. Receiving Ms. Snails treasures is a coup indeed. I was lusting over them. 🙂 She is such a talent. You have a lot of gratitude going on here and I would love to join in shortly. It will definitely be after the first week of January. I do my gratitude list every night before going to sleep. Every day is a good day, some are just more playful than others. I love the artwork from My Open Sketchbook. And having a kitty to snuggle is always something to be grateful for. He looks so cozy with his friends. 🙂

Wow! That card was hand drawn? I’m amazed. I love your three things and nails and those adorable hedgehogs. And the fuffbutt. What a treat! I’m going to check out My Open Sketchbook. Never heard of it. I’m finishing up my Three Things right now. Hope your new blog continues the thankful challenge! It does me good, so thank you!
